Legal Information

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This Legal Information page explains who operates this website, the legal formalities that sit behind it, the rules that apply when you access it, and the rights you have as a visitor, learner or customer. It is written to meet the transparency requirements that apply to commercial websites in the United Kingdom, including the Companies Act 2006 and the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business (Names and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2015, the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, the Provision of Services Regulations 2009, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). We have tried to write it in plain English so that the practical consequences are clear, rather than repeating definitions you will never need. If anything here is unclear, please use the contact route set out in section 3.

1. Who Operates This Website

This website is published under the name presszorix. It is a professional resource dedicated to studio production in motion: the craft of studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting design, the behaviour of sound waves in a studio environment, and the creation of smooth, repeatable, high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. The content is technical and vocational in nature and is aimed at people who already work, or intend to work, in broadcast, streaming and live production.

The operator of this website is Broadley Productions Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales. presszorix is the trading identity used for this educational and professional resource; Broadley Productions Limited is the legal person that contracts with you, holds the bookings made through the site, licenses the material published on it and is responsible for the personal data described in the Privacy Policy.

For the purposes of the legislation listed above, Broadley Productions Limited acts in several distinct capacities at the same time:

  • as the company named on this website, subject to the trading disclosure duties under the Companies Act 2006;
  • as the information society service provider under the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, which requires certain identifying information to be easily, directly and permanently accessible;
  • as the service provider under the Provision of Services Regulations 2009, where those regulations apply to the services offered;
  • as the data controller under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 for the personal data collected through this site;
  • as the trader under consumer legislation where a visitor is dealing with us as a consumer rather than in the course of a business.

Where we describe responsibilities in this notice, those responsibilities rest with Broadley Productions Limited and not with any individual contributor, tutor or freelance crew member whose material appears on the site.

2. Legal Form, Registration Details, Tax Identifiers and Responsible Representatives

Broadley Productions Limited is a private company limited by shares, incorporated and registered in England and Wales. Its company registration number is 05244363. The company is registered for Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom under VAT registration number GB 858485273. The company is registered at Companies House, which is the public register on which its filings, accounts, officers and registered office address can be inspected.

Because Broadley Productions Limited trades online, three separate disclosure regimes apply to the identifiers above:

  • the trading disclosure rules require the registered company name, the part of the United Kingdom in which the company is registered, its registered number and its registered office address to be disclosed on the website and in business correspondence, in legible characters, so that anyone dealing with the company can identify it and check its status;
  • the electronic commerce rules require a service provider to give its name, its geographic address and an email address at which it can be reached, together with the register in which it is entered and its registration number, and its VAT number where it is registered for VAT;
  • the services rules require comparable information, including the legal form of the provider, its contact details, its VAT number and information about complaint handling and dispute resolution.

If the company were ever to enter liquidation, administration or another insolvency procedure, that fact would be stated on this page and in the site footer, because the trading disclosure rules require it. As at the date shown at the top of this page, no such procedure applies and the company is active.

Day-to-day responsibility for this website sits with the directors of Broadley Productions Limited, who are the persons authorised to represent the company in dealings connected with the site. Operational questions about course content, studio bookings and technical support are handled by the same team through the contact route described in section 3. Editorial responsibility for the accuracy of published training material rests with the person who prepared it and, ultimately, with the directors.

We are not regulated by a professional body in the sense used by the services rules, and no professional title is used on this site that requires statutory authorisation. Any accreditation, equipment brand, software vendor or broadcast standard mentioned in our material is referred to descriptively only, and does not imply that we act as an agent of, or are endorsed by, the organisation concerned.

3. Registered Office and Contact Details

The registered office of Broadley Productions Limited is the address at which formal and legal correspondence should be sent. It is published so that you can identify the company and, where necessary, serve documents on it. The operating address used for the studio-related services described on this site is the same as, or closely connected with, the registered office, and visitors should not attend in person without an appointment confirmed in advance.

You can reach us using the following details:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Telephone: +44 (0) 300 111 4123
  • Postal address (including the registered office and any correspondence address): Fawley House, 2 Regatta Place, Marlow Road, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire SL8 5TD
  • Website enquiries: through the contact form on the Contacts page of this website.

Please contact us in English. We aim to acknowledge written enquiries within five working days, although response times for detailed technical, contractual or data protection questions may be longer. If your enquiry concerns your personal data or a rights request under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, please mark it clearly as a data protection enquiry so that it reaches the right person without delay.

Formal notices relating to a contract, an invoice or a legal claim should be sent in writing to the registered office address above, and are treated as received on the second working day after posting within the United Kingdom, or on the next working day if sent by a tracked courier service with confirmed delivery.

4. Purpose, Scope and Intended Audience of This Website

presszorix exists to help production professionals and trainees understand how a studio actually works when the cameras are rolling. The material covers the physical and creative elements of studio production: how equipment is rigged, powered and checked before transmission; how cameras are moved, framed and cut dynamically; how lighting is designed, layered and colour-matched for cameras rather than for the human eye; how sound waves behave in a treated studio space and how microphones, monitoring and talkback are managed; and how all of these elements are stitched into a smooth, high-quality workflow for television news bulletins and live shows.

The intended audience is adults, typically aged 18 and over, working in or training for broadcast, streaming, corporate video, events and live production. The site is written for a professional readership. It is not a consumer lifestyle service, it is not aimed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13; where a young person wishes to use our material, we expect a parent, guardian or employer to supervise that use.

Nothing on this website is safety certification, electrical certification, or a substitute for employer-specific risk assessments, method statements, working-at-height rules, electrical regulations, manual handling guidance or local broadcasting standards. Studio environments contain trip hazards, hot lamps, heavy rigs and mains power. Any instruction published here is general guidance, and you remain responsible for applying it safely in your own premises and under your own employer's rules.

The site may refer to other pages, including the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms and Conditions, Payment and Refund Policy and the Contacts page. Those pages form part of the terms on which this site and any course or booking is provided, and you should read them alongside this Legal Information page.

5. Access to the Website and Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and view this website and the material published on it for lawful purposes: your own professional development, research, teaching, or the evaluation of our services. That right may be withdrawn if you breach this notice.

When using the site you must not:

  • copy, scrape, harvest, republish or systematically download the site or any substantial part of it, including course text, diagrams, schematics of lighting setups, camera-movement sequences or audio examples;
  • resell, sublicense, hire out or commercially exploit our material, or use it to build a competing course, product or dataset, whether for profit or not;
  • remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trade mark, attribution or other proprietary notice;
  • upload, transmit or share anything that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, malicious, obscene, or that infringes the rights of any other person;
  • introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware, logic bombs or any other harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, its databases or any connected system;
  • interfere with the proper operation of the site, including by denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests, or attempts to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure without written permission;
  • use the site in a way that damages or is likely to damage our reputation or the reputation of any studio, broadcaster or partner mentioned in our material;
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate a broadcaster, employer or other person.

Access to the site is provided free of charge for general browsing, but we do not guarantee that the site, or any page on it, will always be available. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the site, temporarily or permanently, including for maintenance, security, legal or commercial reasons. Where a paid course or booking is affected by a suspension that is not your fault, your remedies are set out in the Payment and Refund Policy and in section 10 below.

If you are given, or choose, a password, access code or account credential to reach restricted material, you must keep it confidential and must not share it. You must tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. You are responsible for activity carried out using your credentials until you notify us.

6. Intellectual Property, Trade Marks and Permitted Use of Content

All intellectual property rights in this website and in its content are owned by Broadley Productions Limited or are licensed to it by third parties. That includes, without limitation, the written training text, the structure and sequence of the material, photographs, diagrams, storyboards, lighting plans, camera choreography, audio and video clips, downloadable templates, checklists and workflow documents, the visual design and layout of the site, and the underlying code.

Copyright in original works, database rights in any compilation of material, and rights in any registered or unregistered trade marks, trade names, logos, service marks and get-up are protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997 and the Trade Marks Act 1994, together with applicable international conventions.

The names Broadley Productions Limited and Broadley Studios, together with the names and logos of the site, are trade marks or trade names of the company or its licensors. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship without our prior written consent. Descriptive, non-commercial references to us in reviews, academic work or news reporting are of course permitted, provided they are accurate.

Provided you comply with this notice, you may:

  • browse the site and print or download individual pages for your own internal or personal use;
  • quote short extracts of our text in teaching materials, presentations or articles, provided the quotation is genuinely short, is attributed to presszorix and does not reproduce the substance of a course module;
  • share a direct reference to a page with colleagues, rather than copying its contents.

You may not reproduce, adapt, translate, frame, mirror, distribute or create derivative works from any substantial part of the site without our written permission. Where material on the site is attributed to a third party, that third party's terms may apply and you must respect them. Requests for permission, licensing or bulk use should be sent to [email protected].

7. Accuracy, Availability and Limitation of Liability

We take care to describe studio techniques, equipment configurations, lighting approaches and audio practice accurately. Even so, production equipment changes quickly, and the correct approach always depends on the specific studio, camera, lens, microphone, power supply and transmission format in front of you. Our material is therefore general guidance prepared for a professional audience, and it must be adapted to the equipment and rules that apply in your own workplace.

Nothing on this website is professional advice on electrical installation, structural safety, fire safety, employment law or health and safety compliance, and it is not a substitute for a competent person's assessment on site. You should verify any figure, rating, cable type, colour temperature, microphone pattern or software setting against the manufacturer's documentation before relying on it.

The site is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise that access will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free or free of harmful components, nor that every page will always be up to date. We may correct, update or remove content at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, loss or corruption of data, and for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of this website. Where the law permits us to limit our liability for direct loss, our total liability arising from your use of the free content on this website is limited to one hundred pounds (GBP 100).

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits our liability in a way that the law does not allow. In particular, we do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (services performed with reasonable care and skill) or sections 9 to 11 of that Act (digital content of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described), or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you, and nothing in this notice affects them.

8. External Links and Third-Party Content

Our pages may refer to third-party equipment manufacturers, software vendors, broadcasters, standards bodies, training organisations and other resources. Some references are textual only; others may point to external websites. Where we include such a reference, we do it because we believe it is useful to a professional readership, not as an endorsement of everything that the third party publishes or does.

We do not control external websites and we are not responsible for their content, their availability, their accuracy, their security, their privacy practices or the way they handle your data. If you follow a reference to an external site, you leave our site and you do so at your own risk; the terms and privacy notices of that site will apply to you. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of a third-party site or service.

Where the site allows third-party material to appear, or where we host contributions, comments or examples supplied by others, the views expressed are those of the author and not necessarily ours. We are not the publisher of that material in the sense used in defamation law where we act only as a distributor and act promptly on notice, and we may remove any third-party content at any time.

If you believe that material on this site infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, please contact us at [email protected] with details of the material, the right you say has been infringed, and evidence that you are entitled to act. We will investigate promptly and remove or amend material where that is appropriate. Counter-notices will be considered on their merits.

9. Data Protection, Privacy and Cookies

Broadley Productions Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, which means it decides why and how that data is used. Our handling of personal data is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and our use of cookies and similar technologies is governed additionally by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

In broad terms, we collect the information you give us when you contact us, register interest in a course, book a place, subscribe to updates or complete a form; information generated when you browse the site, such as device type, browser, approximate location and pages viewed; and information needed to process payments, where a service is paid for. We use this information to respond to you, deliver and administer the services you request, keep our records accurate, secure the site, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We rely on different lawful bases depending on the activity: performance of a contract where you book or buy something; your consent where you agree to non-essential cookies or marketing messages; our legitimate interests in running, improving and securing a professional resource, balanced against your rights; and legal obligation for accounting, tax and record-keeping purposes. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the site and deliver services, and only to the extent they need it, under written terms.

You have the right to be informed, of access, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction, to data portability and to object, as well as rights in relation to automated decision-making and the right to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing. You can exercise these rights by writing to [email protected] or to Fawley House, 2 Regatta Place, Marlow Road, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire SL8 5TD. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we normally respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, which is the United Kingdom's data protection supervisory authority, although we would ask you to raise the matter with us first so that we can try to put it right.

Our cookie banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies, which are needed for security, session management and to remember your cookie choices, are placed on a legal basis that does not require consent. Any analytics, preference or marketing cookies are placed only with your consent, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the banner or your browser settings. Refusing non-essential cookies does not prevent you from reading the site.

Retention periods differ by purpose: enquiry records are usually kept for up to two years after our last contact with you; customer and booking records are kept for at least six years to meet accounting and limitation requirements; and data protection requests are logged for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance. Full details of purposes, categories, recipients, transfers and retention periods are set out in the Privacy Policy.

10. Purchases, Pricing, Payment and Refunds

Where this site offers a course, workshop, downloadable resource, studio session or other paid service, the contract is formed between you and Broadley Productions Limited. Prices are shown on the relevant page and, where applicable, include or exclude VAT as clearly indicated. Company registration number 05244363 and VAT registration number GB 858485273 appear on our invoices and receipts so that business customers can process them.

Before you buy, we give you the information required by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 where you are a consumer, including the main characteristics of the service, the total price, the arrangements for payment, the time and manner of performance, and your cancellation rights. Where you are buying in the course of a business, consumer cancellation rules do not apply and the commercial terms in our Terms and Conditions govern.

Consumers normally have fourteen days from the conclusion of a distance contract to cancel without giving a reason, but this right is affected where a service has been fully performed with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the cancellation right, and where digital content has been supplied with your consent and acknowledgement in the same way. Where a course place is cancelled by you outside the cancellation window, or where you do not attend, the amounts that can be refunded may be reduced to reflect the costs already incurred; the exact position is set out in the Payment and Refund Policy.

Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If what we supply does not meet those standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. We also comply with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 rules on unfair commercial practices, including the prohibition on presenting false or misleading reviews and on drip pricing, which means the price you see is the price you pay, with any obligatory charges shown upfront.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store complete card numbers on our own systems. Please do not send card details by email or through the contact form.

11. Complaints, Consumer Rights and Dispute Resolution

If something has gone wrong, please tell us first. Send your complaint to [email protected] or in writing to Fawley House, 2 Regatta Place, Marlow Road, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire SL8 5TD, setting out what happened, when, what you would like us to do, and any supporting documents. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to give you a substantive response within fourteen days, and in any event within eight weeks. Raising a complaint does not affect your legal rights or your right to go to court.

Where you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint directly with you, the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015 require us to tell you whether we are prepared to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider, and if so which one, and whether we are obliged to use one. Our position is that we are willing to consider ADR on a voluntary basis for disputes that we cannot settle ourselves, but we are not obliged to use ADR and we do not currently appoint a standing ADR provider. We will always give you this information in writing when we send our final response to a complaint. ADR is generally free or low cost for consumers, but it is not a substitute for the courts.

If you are a business customer, disputes are dealt with under the Terms and Conditions and through the courts, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Nothing in this section, or elsewhere in this Legal Information page, takes away your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (as replaced or supplemented by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024), or any other legislation that protects consumers and cannot be contracted out of.

12. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Severability

This Legal Information page, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or with your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.

If you are a consumer habitually resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules of that jurisdiction, including under the rules on jurisdiction in civil and commercial matters that apply in the United Kingdom. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, nothing in this notice deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence where that law applies to the contract.

If any provision of this notice is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision is severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue in full force. A failure or delay in enforcing any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, provided this does not reduce your rights; we will tell you in writing or by a prominent notice on the site. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent. Nothing in these terms gives any person who is not a party to them any right to enforce any provision, except where the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 provides otherwise.

13. Company and Legal Identifiers

The following identifiers are published in the footer of every page of this website and are reproduced here in the same label: value format for convenience, so that you can identify the operator and verify its status with the relevant register. The registered office address, email address and telephone number shown below are the site-wide placeholders used throughout this website.

14. Related Policies, Changes to This Legal Notice and How to Contact Us

This Legal Information page should be read together with the following documents, which you can find on this website and which form part of the terms on which the site and any service are provided:

  • the Privacy Policy, which explains in full what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and how to exercise your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018;

  • the Contacts page, which contains the contact form you can use to reach the team, and confirms the email address and telephone number published on this site.

We may update this Legal Information page from time to time to reflect changes in the law, in our services, in our internal practices or in the way the site is operated. The version published on the site at the time you use it is the version that applies. Where a change materially affects your rights or the way we handle personal data, we will give reasonable advance notice by a prominent notice on the site, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last reviewed.

If you have any question about this Legal Information page, want to exercise a right described in it, or need the information in an alternative format such as large print, please contact us at [email protected], by telephone on +44 (0) 300 111 4123, or in writing to Fawley House, 2 Regatta Place, Marlow Road, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire SL8 5TD.
