FAQ

Here you will find the answers to the questions we hear most often. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Do I need previous studio experience?
No. Studio Foundations starts from the basics of safety, cabling and kit handling. Studio Pro and Broadcast Master build on that with live rehearsals.
What equipment will I work with?
Pedestal and PTZ cameras, teleprompters, LED lighting grids, digital audio consoles and a full vision mixer in a working gallery.
How big are the groups?
Foundation groups have up to 8 trainees and longer programmes up to 12, so everyone gets time on every position of the crew.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Studio Pro and Broadcast Master can be split into monthly payments. Send us an enquiry and we will confirm the schedule.
Do you offer training for a whole newsroom?
We run on-site crew training for broadcasters and production companies. Tell us about your studio and we will build a plan around your rundown.
Will I get a certificate?
Every graduate receives a certificate of attendance, and Studio Pro and Broadcast Master trainees also leave with a showreel clip from rehearsal.
Our mission

On a mission to make studio craft accessible

presszorix exists to bring professional studio practice within reach of anyone who wants a career in television news and live shows, whatever their starting point.

After six weeks I was running pedestal moves live on air. The rehearsals felt like a real bulletin, which is exactly why my first booking felt calm.

A school with values

Diversity, inclusion and belonging are fundamental to our success. We believe the best crews are made of different voices, and we teach in a way that welcomes them all.

Passion for the craft

We are driven by smooth camera moves, clean sound and calm galleries. Every session is a rehearsal for the real thing, with feedback you can use the same evening.

Collaborative crews

Live television is a team sport. Trainees rotate through floor, gallery and audio roles so they learn how every cue travels between people.

  • Close-up of a broadcast studio camera lens on a pedestal
  • Overhead studio lighting grid with LED panels and fresnel lamps
  • Digital audio mixing console with faders and meters in a broadcast studio
  • Empty news desk set with illuminated backdrop in a television studio

Industry-standard kit

Everything you learn on is the same class of equipment you will meet in a broadcast facility.

  • Studio cameras

    Pedestal, jib and PTZ systems

  • LED lighting

    Grids, softboxes and dimmers

  • Audio consoles
